Step 1

Do you need a covid test to ENTER the country you're traveling too, kind of test and more information?  REQUIREMENT INFORMATION


Step 2

You will need a test to enter back into The United States. Air passengers are required to get a viral test (a test for current infection) within the 3 days before their flight to the U.S. departs, and provide written documentation of their laboratory test result (paper or electronic copy) to the airline or provide documentation of having recovered from COVID-19.  MORE INFORMATION


Step 3

How are you getting tested before entering back into The United States?  For example: some resorts are doing the test at the resort for you. ASK YOUR TRAVEL ADVISOR LEATTA FOR DETAILS and check your pocket travel app for the official information.  (This list can change at any time, look at the resort website for full confirmation of covid testing)

Print out the PASSENGER ATTESTATION REQUIREMENT FORM for the airline for all travelers flying into The United States.   PRINT FORM HERE

  • AIG Travel handles Covid-19 largely as illness. Covid-19 Tests will be covered in-trip if they are administered upon advice of a physician due to concern about exposure or symptoms. It will NOT be covered if taken as part of entry/exit requirements. AIG offers coverage for travel to Costa Rica: On the Deluxe and Preferred Plan you can add an optional “Lodging Expense Bundle” that meets the requirements for US residents to enter Costa Rica.

CDC Expands Negative COVID-19 Test Requirement to All Air Passengers Entering the United States

And there is good news in the travel industry, from the State department removing the “do not travel advisory” to all major airlines have removed domestic ticket change fees for the foreseeable future!   And on 10/31/20, the Centers for Disease Control announced it would let cruise ships sail from the USA  in exchange for a conditional, phased-return.
